The Tellennium Group joins the TEMIA organization

The Tellennium Group recently joined the Telecommunications Expense Management Industry Association (TEMIA), an industry group focused on helping organizations achieve optimal telecom expense management results.

“Being a part of TEMIA helps drive greater awareness of our industry and adds strength in numbers to carriers for the betterment of clients,” said Greg McIntyre, president of Tellennium. “It’s a growth industry. Tellennium has grown at a double-digit pace every year since inception and will continue to grow for the foreseeable future.”

TEMIA was founded in 2006 by telecom expense management service providers, cumulatively TEMIA members manage $31 billion of telecom and data spend. TEMIA’s mission is to raise awareness and knowledge of the benefits of TEM solutions, to improve the quality and value of TEM solutions through the development and promotion of industry standards, and to cultivate shared industry knowledge among TEM providers, business partners, telecom service providers, and enterprise clients.

Small Business Commerce Association’s Award Honors the Achievement

The Tellennium Group awarded the prestigious Alfred P. Sloan Award

Louisville, KY (August 19, 2009). The winners of the Alfred P. Sloan Awards for Business Excellence in Workplace Flexibility offer a unique picture of organizations that are finding this middle ground. “From new forms of flexible work arrangements that minimize lay-offs, to creative cost-cutting that retains core medical benefits, to providing financial information and support to employees, these employers are braving the economic storm through innovative policies that prevent undue shock to their workplaces and their employees,” said Ellen Galinsky, President, Families and Work Institute.

Sloan Awards for Business Excellence in Workplace Flexibility are part of the When Work Works project, an ongoing initiative of Families and Work Institute, the Institute for a Competitive Workforce (an affiliate of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce), and the Twiga Foundation. Through When Work Works, these partner organizations provide research, resources, and recognition to employers nationwide.  The project shares the results of research on creating effective and flexible workplaces that meet the needs of the 21st century.
